Lincoln Said It Best...

"...government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

If we believe that Lincoln was correct, why are we so afraid of government taking care of its people. In essence, are we not taking care of ourselves?

Please do not scream so loudly that the programs that you so vitally need like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are scrapped amidst the argument that the citizens of this country loudly rejected any government aid.

Because the resulting noise will be deafening.
